In the past, Study Hall College has offered its students an opportunity to participate in the US Embassy’s Community College Initiative (CCI) program, a student exchange program that provides scholarships to spend up to one academic year at a community college in the United States of America.
Participants from Study Hall College built technical skills and got a chance to earn certificates in their fields of study. Through professional internships, service learning, and community engagement activities, our students strengthened their English language proficiency and immersed themselves in the culture and day-to-day life of the United States. As of December 2024, five students from our college—all girls—have successfully completed this program.

SHEF's educational programs utilize critical feminist pedagogy, pioneered by Dr. Sahni, to empower students. This approach, inspired by Paolo Freire, blends critical and feminist theories, fostering awareness of oppressive social norms and gender inequalities. Through critical dialogue, students analyze power structures, understanding how they shape their lives.
This pedagogy employs diverse methods like drama, role-play interactions, and reflective writing, enabling students to express themselves, recognize their right to equality, and practice resistance. They learn that patriarchy is a social construct, not an inherent truth, and that therefore, it can be dismantled. This empowers them to envision and work towards an egalitarian society, becoming agents of change. By understanding and challenging these systems, girls and boys develop the tools to advocate for themselves and others.
The personality development classes at Study Hall College are designed to enhance students' confidence, communication skills, and leadership abilities. These sessions focus on grooming individuals through interactive workshops, public speaking, and team-building activities. By encouraging self-awareness and a positive outlook, the program equips students to excel personally and professionally.
