OUR STUDENTS’ CREATE MAGIC IN ART & CRAFT
Being proactive and introspective, helps us identify our blind spots and build the ability to listen and learn which are crucial for tapping innovation brought about by a diverse set of minds. This is what, we the Faculty of our College have been attempting to inculcate in our students who are coming from different backgrounds where most of them have not had an opportunity to be exposed to the much more sophisticated and finer side of life.
In our quest for such a person who could mingle with them and could pass on these aspects of life to our students, Ms. Nalini Mishra, an epitome of talent, poise, modesty, and aplomb volunteered herself to help our students unravel their innate abilities and transform them into creating colourful and attractive pieces of art. A post-graduate in English, possessing qualifications in diverse subjects like Computer Applications, Manipuri Dance, Art Master’s training from College of Arts and Crafts, faculty of Fine Arts, Lucknow University, having worked as Managing Director in International Lalit Kala and Hast-Kala Vikas Samiti, as Statue Designer under Prajapati Image Makers, Lucknow, and having
imparted knowledge about arts & crafts in various schools and colleges, armed with her brush and colour palette, transformed the College Campus into a huge Arts & Crafts Workshop.
She did the miracle by creating diverse teams, focussing on real inclusion, that encouraged our students to contribute their thoughts and ideas fearlessly, and produced excellent results in the form of beautiful artifacts mostly by making the best use of almost every piece of waste lying in and around the College Campus. Here is a small video of those pieces of Art, the students describing and Ms. Mishra initiating it.
