Inaugurated in 2016, The Study Hall College (TSHC) is a high quality undergraduate degree college, affiliated to the University of Lucknow. We are committed to exhibit the same spirit of caring and dedication for maintaining high standards of academic excellence, creativity and innovation which the Study Hall Educational Foundation stands and known for. Like other wings of our foundation, the Study Hall College is also a place of inclusive learning where students of all abilities, from all socio-economic backgrounds, from rural and urban regions, strive for excellence, fostering collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation. In consonance with our constant endeavour to link learning in the classroom with employable positions and for an all-round development of their personality, we strive to groom our students with adequate subject knowledge through activity based teaching methods such as theatre (Drama), Group Discussions, Debates, Panel Discussions and Presentations besides our good old chalk and talk method.
Currently the college is offering courses for degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication (BA – JMC), Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (BCom), Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) and also a degree in Elementary Education (B El Ed ). The college has over 150 students, 7 erudite faculty members along with guest faculty from England, Spain and USA.
The college campus is spread across 4.5 acres with an administrative building and two academic buildings. The classrooms in the academic building can hold upto 100 students each. Equipped with solar power and rain water harvesting, the college campus meets the highest ‘eco-friendly’ standards. The 2200 sq ft computer lab can house over 100 computers. Other facilities at the college include a well stocked library, a cafeteria, an amphitheatre and a volley ball court. As the college continues to grow, there are provisions for an indoor gym, a cricket academy, a basketball court, a 1500-seater auditorium. At full capacity the college classrooms will be able to hold 4800 students.
Still in its nascent years, the Study Hall College has been able to create a unique ‘classless environment’ where students from both underserved and affluent backgrounds share the same space and learn mutually and collectively. Situated on the periphery of Lucknow in a semi-urban area, the college is surrounded by lush green farmland away from the hustle and bustle of the city, affording the faculty and the students an ideal environment for attaining profound scholarship and versatile erudition.
